Funeral services for Annie Solomon Sinclair, 95, of Monroe, will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, July 25, 2013, in the Chapel at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe with Rev. Ricky Baker and Rev. Joe Solomon officiating. Interment will follow at Crowville Masonic Cemetery.
Mrs. Sinclair was born on April 4, 1918 in Crowville, LA, to Davis and Julia Solomon. She was married to Daniel O. (D.O.) Sinclair for 42 years, with whom she had seven children. She was a member of Brookwood Baptist church in Shreveport, LA. She spent 20 wonderful years living at Holy Cross Villas West apartments in Shreveport, LA, which kept her active and social. She was chairman of the tenants committee for many of those years. She didn’t work outside of the home until the age of 63, when she obtained her license to work as a florist for a brief career. She loved children, watching sports (especially the Saints), playing games, cooking, baking, quilting, tending to flowers, and most of all, spending time with her family. Miss Annie was a lady of integrity, who loved the Lord and loved to laugh. Family and friends will miss her dearly.
Preceding her in death were her parents; step-mother, Annie Solomon; brothers, Abe and Albert Solomon; sister, Julia Nelson; husband, D.O. Sinclair; son, David (Buddy) Sinclair; four grandchildren, Michael Sinclair, David Guy Sinclair, Paul Campbell, and Terry Campbell; one great grandchild, Amanda Kirtland; and a son-in-law, Jerry Campbell.
She’s survived by brothers, Joe Solomon and wife Irene and Mike Solomon and his wife Cille; son, Donnie Sinclair and his wife Kathy and Dan Sinclair; daughters, Julia Ann Campbell, Shirley Hinton and husband Tracy, Brenda Collie, Debbie Hunnicutt and husband Lane; 13 grandchildren, Jeff, Scotty, Davy, Ricky, Donna, Kevan, Brian, Scott, Tammie, Angel, Brandi, Josh, and Cody; numerous great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; and six nieces.
