Bertie was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and was an excellent cook who spent many hours preparing delicious meals and often told stories of her childhood days.  Mrs. Barron enjoyed tending to her gardens, which she shared with her family and friends.  She showed her love by lending a helping hand to those in need.  Bertie was courageous, kind, and strong; her compassion was endless.  Mama was always there for her children, giving comfort, understanding and protection, and she will live on in the hearts and memories of all who knew her.

Simmons, of Ruston, Mark Koprek and wife, Cheri, Brian Koprek, Wendell Koprek and wife, Elo, all of Washington state; 14 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be on Friday, November 23, 2012 from 5:00 – 9:00 PM at Palestine Baptist Church, Hwy 4 West, Columbia, LA, and from Noon until service time on Saturday, November 24, 2012.
