Betty Sue "Susie" McQuillin

Graveside Funeral Services for Mrs. Betty Sue “Susie” McQuillin, 50, of Monroe, LA, will be held 12:00PM Sunday, January 17, 2021, at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, US 80, Monroe, LA, with Rev. Scottie Gray officiating and under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.

Mrs. McQuillin was born March 25, 1970, in Jackson, MS and passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2021, at St. Francis Medical Center Specialty Hospital in Monroe, LA. Susie was proud to be a licensed nurse for over twenty years, where she focused her career in home health care; providing love, compassion, and medical care to those in greatest need. Susie was a great mother, wife, sister, aunt, and friend to so many. Susie will be remembered by warm heart and her affectionate desire to help all those around her while focusing little on herself. Rather it opening her home to others, giving the last of her anything to those in need, being a soft shoulder to cry on, or light in the darkest days; Susie was always happy to help others before herself. Susie`s greatest pride was her family, and she loved her family unconditionally. She will always be remembered and loved by those closest to her.

She was preceded in death by parents, James and Betty Shows and her five sisters, Janice Shows, Marilyn Gross, Barbara Shows, Joyce Shows, and Lois Shows.

Survivors include children, Christopher McQuillin and wife Kristen, Timmy McQuillin and wife Lee Ann, Shane McQuillin and wife Sara, Bruce McQuillin, and Victoria McQuillin; husband Lane McQuillin; grandchildren, Brodie McQuillin, Tucker McQuillin, Sadie McQuillin, Cypress McQuillin, Riley McQuillin, Axel McQuillin; and a host of siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, and longtime friends.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Saturday, January 16, 2021, at Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.
