Funeral Services for Mrs. Beverly Causey Smith, 71, of West Monroe, LA will be 10:00 AM Saturday, November 26, 2011 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe with Rev. Ricky Baker officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, Monroe.

Mrs. Smith died on November 22, 2011 in Monroe, LA. She was a charter member of Southside United Methodist Church, now Lea Joyner Memorial United Methodist Church. Mrs. Smith recently attended Grace Baptist Church. She retired from Ouachita Parish School Board. Mrs. Smith is preceded in death by her parents, Adam Causey and Anita Barrier; and brother, Albert Causey.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, John A. Smith; six children, Shelia Sanderson and husband John, John Smith, Jr. and wife Lynn, Debbie Gilbert and husband Phil, Toni Clay and husband Randy, Brenda Deffner and husband Dean, Brent Smith; thirteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Sheila Massey; brother, Claude “Mickey” Causey; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Randy Clay, Phil Gilbert, John Sanderson, Dean Deffner, Dylan Deffner, John Sanderson, Jr., Phillip Gilbert, Casey Smith, and Jonathan Smith.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Friday, November 25, 2011 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.
