Bobby Joel Jenkins

Funeral services for Bobby Joel Jenkins, 64, of Monroe, will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, March 25, 2011, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe., with Rev. Warren Eckhardt and Rev. Glen Jenkins. Interment will be at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Jenkins, Owner of Longleaf Wood Products, died Wednesday, March 23, 2011. He attended North Monroe Baptist Church, was a member of the Louisiana Thoroughbred Breeders Association, and an avid outdoorsman.
Mr. Jenkins was preceded in death by his father, Troy Lee Jenkins, and mother, Icy Lee Jenkins.
Survivors include his wife, Gwen; daughter, Tiffany and Christopher Donald of Fairhope, AL and their children, Jack and Claire; five brothers, Kenny and Janice Jenkins of Crossett, AR, Glen and Sarah Jenkins of Corsicana, TX, Gilbert and Avanelle Jenkins of Bryant, AR, Robert and Pat Jenkins of Crossett, AR, and William J. and Linda Jenkins of Bartlett, TN; brother-in-law, Raymond and Margaret Horne of Monroe, LA; twenty-three nieces and nephews and sixteen great nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Greg Horne, Eric Beall, Greg Jenkins, Jeff Reid, Gerald Austin, and Brian Gilly. Honorary pallbearers will be Bishop Johnston III, Chris Donald, Ken Gable, Jerry Smith, Jim Nolan, Royce Young, Harold Roberts, Randy Fortenberry, and Vic Dees.
Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to M. D. Anderson.
