Brian McQuillin a resident of Calhoun; was born and raised in Monroe, LA. He graduated from Ouachita Parish High School in 1982 and later went on to earn a Degree in Nursing and several educational certificates including Respiratory Therapy, Fitness Trainer, Pharmacy Technician, Professional Safety Technician, and Licensed Golf Instructor. He had a passion for learning and continued his education throughout his life. He was an entrepreneur who owned several companies in the Monroe area. He loved the outdoors and spending time with his family, especially Abigail who called him papaw. He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy McQuillin, Sr.
He is survived by his wife, Melissa Barnette McQuillin; son, Brandon McQuillin and wife Katie McQuillin; granddaughter, Abigail McQuillin and soon to be grandson, Carson McQuillin; son, Bradley McQuillin; son, Benjamin McQuillin; son, Brent McQuillin; mother, Marilyn Gray and stepfather, Charlie Gray; brothers, Jimmy McQuillin, Jr., Danny McQuillin, Lane McQuillin, Steven McQuillin, David McQuillin, Scott Gray, and sister, Cheri Gray Turnage; father and mother-in-law, Don and Mildred Barnette; He leaves behind many nephews and nieces and a large loving family. He will be greatly missed. A Celebration of Life service will be held in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe on Wednesday March 2, 2011at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Randy Impson officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday March 1, 2011 at Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA.
