She was one of eight children, who were all raised on a large dairy farm in Vermont. Hard work, Christian morals, and family values were instilled at an early age.

After graduating high school, she attended St. Margaret’s School of Nursing, while working at The Infants Home of Brooklyn, NY. During this time, she met a young soldier who swept her off her feet and were soon married. They were stationed in many states and abroad, she supported her husband while raising three beautiful children. They settled in West Monroe, LA. Mrs. Carole was a member of Claiborne United Methodist Church. After her husband passed away in 2016, she moved to Brandon, MS, to live with her daughter. She loved being with family and friends. She also loved dancing, crocheting, word searches, playing cards, puzzles, baking and she was very artistic. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved reading her Bible and listening to Christian music.

One of her favorite verses was John 3:16. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” NIV
