Carrie Pardue Springfield

Carrie Springfield passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, May 19th 2014. She was 78 years old.

Carrie was born in Dean Louisiana on June 8th 1935. She graduated from Linville high school in 1953 and married Eugene Springfield in March of 1960.

Mrs. Springfield attended Church and the adult Sunday school class at Clark Springs Baptist Church in Eros, La. She loved Gardening, reading, listening to old Hymns and enjoying time with family and friends during visits. Carrie enjoyed fellowship with other church members during the regular Tuesday Game day time in the church fellowship hall.

Carrie was witty, encouraging and always ready to share a laugh with anyone she encountered. Although she was a very private woman, she continually brought joy and love into the lives of those that knew her.

Carrie is survived by her brothers, Leo, and Kenyon Pardue; sisters, Iris Smith, Ernestine Westbrook, Joye Baker, and Cora Crain; two sons, Howard D. Springfield, and Kevin J. Springfield; Her daughter-in-law Veronica; and her two granddaughters, Olivia and Alicia Springfield; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Springfield was preceded in death by her Husband of 48 years, Davis Eugene Springfield.

Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, May 25th at 1:00PM in the Clark Springs Baptist Church sanctuary with funeral services to follow at 2:00 PM. Funeral services will be presided over by Pastor Bro. Jimmy Pitson. Interment will follow at Clark Springs Baptist Church cemetery 139 Clark Springs Road, Eros La.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Golson, Troy Golson, David Golson, Jeremy Calhoun, Jerrod Golson, Stan Davis and David Griffin.
