Cheryl Jones Norton

Cheryl Jones Norton, 65, of Fairbanks, LA, passed away February 26, 2011. She was born December 4, 1945 in Monroe, but lived and went to school in West Monroe, graduating from West Monroe High School in 1963.
She was predeceased by her husband, Wayne Norton; and her mother, Lucille Hinckley Spears.
Cheryl is survived by her son, Charles “Chuck” Norton and wife Gail; a grandson, Daniel Wayne Norton; a sister, Linda Roberts and husband William; a brother, Nelson Jones and wife Lemoyne; and an extended family of two aunts, nieces, nephews, step-children, cousins and friends.
Cheryl was a legal secretary for many years and had retired recently. Her last employer was James Herron, who with his wife, Diana, was not only her boss but were close friends.
Friends and family are invited to a small memorial gathering to celebrate her life at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, on Thursday evening, March 3, 2011. There will be visitation from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM and a memorial service at 7:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
