A Celebration of Life for Mr. Clifford Ellie Tharp, 77, of Monroe, will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, June 26, 2008, at New Light Baptist Church with Rev. Lindle Stewart and Jay Marx officiating. Services are under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
Mr. Tharp passed away Monday, June 23, 2008. He was a member of New Light Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He retired from the Monroe Fire Department as Chief of Training.
Survivors include his wife of fifty-four years, Lou Tharp; daughters, Cindy Crabtree and husband David, Teri Smith and husband John, and Ellie Young and husband Todd; grandchildren, Leslie, Anthony, Misty, Layne, Jacob, and Samantha; nine great grandchildren, two brothers, Cotton and Jimmy Tharp; and one sister, Irma Caskey.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
Memorials may be made to New Light Baptist Church Van Ministry or the charity of your choice.
