Funeral services for Mr. Clovis Carlton Alexander, 74, of Monroe, will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, June 1, 2007, at North Monroe Baptist Church with Dr. Bill Dye and Rev. Warren Eckhardt officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
Mr. Alexander passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at St. Francis North Hospital. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Norita Alexander; his parents, three brothers, and two sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah Ann Alexander; two daughters, Renee Hegwood and husband Jim, and Laura Taylor and husband Keith, all of Monroe; two stepdaughters, Debra Thurmon and husband Tom of Vicksburg, MS, and Rexie Parker; grandchildren, Jimbo Hegwood, Charles Hegwood, Courtney Hegwood, Rachal Russell, Dustin Taylor, and Mark Taylor; step grandchildren, Lindsay Walden and husband Steven of St. Louis, MO, Leslie and Lauren Parker of Monroe, and Houston Steelman and Sarah Thurmon of Vicksburg, MS; and sister, Barbara Wagner of Burleson, TX.
Pallbearers will be Rodney Wagner, Brad Wagner, Mike Alexander, Jimbo Hegwood, Gary Russell, and Steve Wagner. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of his Sunday school class at North Monroe Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
Memorials can be made to North Monroe Baptist Church Stained Glass Fund.
