Cora Belle Patterson

Graveside services for Mrs. Cora Belle Patterson, 102, of Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday February 13, 2021 at Riverview Cemetery in Monroe, LA, Rev. Lamar Oliver of First United Methodist Church in West Monroe, LA will officiate, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA.

Mrs. Patterson was born on September 15, 1918 in Batesville, Mississippi, and passed away on February 10, 2021, at St. Francis Medical Center. Cora was a member of New Iona Presbyterian Church, formerly Highland Presbyterian in West Monroe. She was an expert seamstress with self-taught skills. Cora was an avid reader and loved to solve crossword puzzles.

Mrs. Patterson was preceded in death by her husband, Felix C. “Pat” Patterson and her sister, Clare Alexander.

Mrs. Patterson is survived by her son, Ben D. Patterson (Sara), of West Monroe, Louisiana, and her daughter, Ginny Garner (Ed) of Maumelle, Arkansas. Grandchildren are Chris Patterson (Bonnie), Ashely Joiner (Billy), Hollyn Breen (Chase), Blake Johnston (Crystal), and Shelby Zeno (Lary). She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren: Harper Joiner, Belle Joiner, Jack Joiner, Sara Hope Joiner, Collier Breen, Reese Breen, Cole Breen, Calvin Patterson, Michael Johnston, Charlie Johnston, Drew Zeno and one on the way.

Pallbearers will be Chris Patterson, Billy Joiner, Chase Breen, Blake Johnston, Harper Joiner, and Ed Garner.

Visitation will be from 12:30 until 1:30 P.M. at Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA.

Funeral procession will leave at 1:40 P.M. for the services.
