Funeral services for Danny Joe Walters, 53, of Calhoun, will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, January 30, 2011, at First Baptist Church of Calhoun with Rev. Werner Aswell and Rev. Neil Everett officiating. Interment will follow at Beulah Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.
Danny was born on December 18, 1957, and passed away Thursday, January 27, 2011. He was born and raised in Calhoun. Danny enjoyed playing golf, making people laugh and especially spending time with family.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Debbie Walters; two daughters, Jenay Boyte and husband, Duane and Dana Spence and husband, Colby; special companion, Birdie; four grandchildren, Reagan, Kylee, Cameron and Austin; parents, Ray and Joan Walters; two brothers, Keith Walters and wife, Cheryl and Wayne Walters and wife, Terri; one sister, Micki Horrell and husband, Richard and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Walters, Matt Walters, Don Walters, Gregg Williams, Jim Williams, Chris Antley, TJ Horrell and Preston Allen.
Honorary pallbearers will be his golf buddies, Tommy Williams and Kevin Puckett.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Saturday, January 29, 2011, at First Baptist Church of Calhoun.
