Funeral Services celebrating the life of Mr. Danny W. Martin, 69, of Sterlington, LA, will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 18, 2020, at Sterlington Holiness Tabernacle in Sterlington, with Rev. Tracy Boyd and Rev. Eugene Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe.
Danny was born April 12, 1951 and went to be with his Lord and Savior on November 15, 2020. He was a veteran of the United States Army, who served as a MP while stationed in Germany. Danny enjoyed watching a good Alabama “Roll Tide” football game, playing golf with his buddies, and whatever Cathy wanted him to do. He loved the Lord and his wife more than anything.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Guy Martin and Marie Easterling; his wife of 49 years, Cathy Martin; sister, JoAnn Martin Stewart; and sister-in-law, Charlotte Wilkes.
Survivors include his only daughter, Angie Martin; mother-in-law, Inez Peterson; two sisters, Jackie Chambless (Perry) and Charlotte Nugent (Gary); brother, Harold Martin (Dixie); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special friends.
Pallbearers will be Seth Wilkes, Ferrell Bostic, Stevie Pace, Dan Stinson, Steve Auger, and Virgil Brantley. Honorary pallbearers will be Lance Thomas and Tom Baker.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Tuesday, November 17, 2019, at Sterlington Holiness Tabernacle.
