Graveside service for Mr. Darvis Edwin “Bill” Coody will be held at 2:00PM Tuesday, July 23, 2013, at Redwing Cemetery in West Carroll Parish with Rev. Dennis Anger and Rev. Dwayne Repass officiating under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe.
 
Mr. Coody was born in Coushatta, LA, on May 3, 1919. He passed away on July 22, 2013, in West Monroe. He was a kind, generous man who was devoted to his faith, his family, his friends and his profession. Mr. Coody was employed by Olinkraft/Riverwood for 33 years and was recognized in Marquis Who’s Who for his contributions to his profession.
 
During World War II he served as a radio operator on U.S. Navy blimps along the east and west coasts.
 
Mr. Coody was preceded in death by his parents, James and Carrie Coody; and daughter, Carrie Lynn Coody Boggs.
 
Survivors include his wife, Amanda Ruth Wright Coody; daughter, Vicki Coody and husband Mike; son, Ronnie Coody and wife Jean; son-in-law, Nelson Boggs; grandchildren, Dr. Amanda Witt and husband Ben, John Coody, Jessa Coody, Elliot Coody, Judah Coody, Isaiah Coody, and Noah Coody; great grandchildren, David Nathaniel Witt and a host of extended family and friends.
 
Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice. His passion was to help the needy and hurting.
