Funeral Services for Mrs. Dorothy LaRaye Bourgeois, 80, of West Monroe, LA will be 10:00 AM Thursday, June 2, 2011 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe with Rev. Terry Taylor and Rev. Michael Stravato officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Calhoun.
Mrs. Bourgeois was a member of Family Church in West Monroe, where she enjoyed being a member of the Senior Small Group. She attended Northeast Louisiana Junior College and was a member of the softball team. Mrs. Bourgeois was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend. She is preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Nayton Bourgeois.
Survivors include:
Sons, Terry M. Bourgeois and his wife, Sandra and Joe R. Bourgeois and his wife, Elisa; grandchildren, Erin Kirkland and her husband, Michael L. Kirkland, Jr., Emily Bourgeois, Chad Bourgeois, Shawna Jones and husband, Mark and Robert Smith, Jr.
Pallbearers will be Michael L. Kirkland, Jr., Mark Jones, Mike Colvin, Chad Bourgeois, Ronnie Culp and James Tarkington. Honorary Pallbearer will be Billy Johnston.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.
