Funeral Services for Edward “Woody” Allen, 62, of West Monroe, LA will be held 10:00 A.M. Friday, September 20, 2013 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA with Rev. David Clary officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Calhoun, LA.
Edward “Woody” Allen was born October 20, 1950 and passed away on September 17, 2013. Woody loved bass fishing, camping, and work. He was also an avid Saints and LSU fan and was the owner of Goin Postal in West Monroe. Woody is preceded in death by his mother, Mamie Allen; father, Oscar Allen; step-father, Ernest Thornhill and brothers, Jimmy Allen and Jerry Allen.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Becky Allen; son, Scott Allen and wife, Joanna; daughter, Cristy Allen; grandchildren, Seth Freeman, Alyssa Blevins, Garrett Allen, Lathe Allen, Jed Allen, Hoss Allen and Kelsi Calhoun; sister-in-law, Liz Allen and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pallbearers will be David Cook, Patrick Freeman, Seth Freeman, Garrett Allen, Danny Copeland and Greg Dickerson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Brandon Bell and Marty Rykard.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday, September 19, 2013 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA.
