Elsie Louise Whittington Ardoin

Elsie was born October 18, 1924 and passed away August 9, 2020, at the age of 95 years.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mattie Lou Whittington; father, Edward Lindsay Whittington; husband, Joseph Sylvian Ardoin of 44 years; son, Walton Andrew Ardoin; and brothers, Ed Whittington and James Whittington.
Survivors are her sisters, Barbara Edwards, Donna Pilcher, Pauline Gresham and brother Aldon Whittington; daughters, Denise Moore and husband Glen, and Sylvia Turner; sons, Mike Ardoin and wife Richina, Robbie Ardoin, and John Ardoin; as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Elsie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to all. Her devout faith and love of her family were the cornerstone of her life. All who knew her knew that she spread the love of Christ by words, actions and prayers. She was a registered nurse for many years and was always a caretaker at heart even after her nursing career.
A mass to celebrate her life will be held at a later date.
