Ernest Paul Dupre

Funeral service for Mr. Ernest P. Dupré, Sr., will be held at 10:00AM Thursday, March 27, 2014, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home Chapel Sterlington Rd. Monroe with Rev. Ben Hackler officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Dupré went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 24, 2014.  He was a retired welder and pipefitter. Mr. Dupré was a member of Swartz First Baptist Church and a member of the Carolyn Clark Sunday School Class. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Dana Rippetoe; and wife, Nellie Loyd Duprè.
Ernest was a devoted husband to his wife and loved his family. He loved talking to people and never met a stranger. He was known to all his friends for boiling “The best crawfish they ever had.”
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Landrum Dupré; two children, Ernest Paul Dupré, Jr. and wife Angela; and Christopher Dupré; four stepchildren, Cliff Loyd and wife Pat; Kenny Loyd and wife Lolo; Cindy Linzay and husband Wayne; and John Landrum, Jr. and wife Becky; grandchildren, Brianna, Cassidy, and Brandon Dupré; Kira and Jonathan Rippetoe; Joseph and Christopher Dupré, Jr.; Jonathan Mayeux; Justin, Clint, Matthew, and Meghan Loyd; Kacie Linzay; Colby, Dylan, Joseph, and Bailey Landrum; Chris and Mitchell Clark and Alicia Mayeux; three great grandchildren;  sister, Linda Ford; and two brothers, A.J. Dupré and Eldrick Dupré and wife Helen.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Holmes, Jesse Scott, Paul Clark, David Speir, Ronnie Nolan, and Henry White.
Visitation will be from 5:00PM until 7:00PM Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at Mulhearn Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the Swartz First Baptist Church Building Fund.
