Funeral services for Etta Mae Thompson, 104, of Monroe, will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 2, 2011, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Dr. Alan Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Hasley Cemetery in West Monroe.
Mrs. Thompson passed away Sunday, October 30, 2011, at St. Francis Medical Center. She was a member of Parkview Baptist Church. Mrs. Thompson was an accomplished bridge player obtaining Life Master.
Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by her husband, Dhu Thompson.
Survivors include her daughter, Kay Thompson Fisher and husband Kirk of Monroe; son, Karl Virgil Thompson and wife Pat of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Kimberly Lowery and husband Rickey of Monroe, Parnell Perry and wife Felicia of Perryville, LA, Amy McGee of Maurice, LA, Stephanie Thompson Chenard and husband Frederic of Quebec, Canada, and Kirk Fisher of Monroe; great grandchildren, Shelby Lowery, Taylor Lowery, Trey Perry, Olivia Brooke Perry, Colin McGee, and Roxanne Corbett; and great-great grandson, Mason Corbett.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:00 AM until service time at Mulhearn Funeral Home.
