Graveside services for Evelyn Louise Medaries Merritt, 97, of West Monroe will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 27, 2012 at Hasley Cemetery in West Monroe with Rev. Cecil Herrington officiating.
Mrs. Merritt was born on May 26, 1915 in Ouachita Parish, LA, and passed away on October 23, 2012 in West Monroe, LA. She is preceded in death by her children’s father Duke Hansford Medaries. Mrs. Merritt retired from work when she was 80 years old.
Survivors include her children, Jo Ellen LaGow and husband Dewey, Jerry R. Medaries and wife Grace, Mary Katherine Riser and husband Tom, and Larry Medaries; brother, Lonnie Dee Johnson; 15 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; and 7 great great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Friday, October 26, 2012 at Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA.
