Funeral Services for Mrs. Frances Ann Rizzo, 91, of Monroe, LA will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, September 26, 2011 at St. Matthew Catholic Church in Monroe, LA with Fr. Joe Puthuppally, Fr. Job Edathinatt, Fr. Mark Watson and Msgnr. Edmund Moore officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Matthew Catholic Church Mausoleum under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, LA.

Mrs. Rizzo was born on October 1, 1919 and passed away on September 23, 2011. She was a faithful member of St. Matthew Catholic Church, serving as a Eucharistic Minister and Lecture for many years. Mrs. Rizzo was also a lifetime member of the Catholic Daughters of America. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who was known for always being able to remember others special occasions. Mrs. Frances is preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Sam S. Rizzo; parents, Biaggio and Virginia Miano; granddaughter, Frances Nicole Hayden and sister, Katie Cascio

Survivors include her daughters, JoAnn Crone, and Virginia Hogard and husband, Phillip; grandchildren, Stacey Smith, Susan Hopper and husband, Kevin, Jonathan Hayden, Stephanie Hay and husband, Carter, Jason Hogard and wife, Leslie and Zachary Hogard and wife, Evelyn; great grandchildren, Hayden Hart Hopper, Ben Hopper, Sam Hopper, Ellis Ann Hay, and Kammy, Triston and Kelsey Hogard; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Dr. Glenn Hummel, Dr. Charles Sampognaro, Frank Bruscato, Darell LeBlanc, Lamond Carroll and Joe Costanza.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., with a Vigil Wake Service to be held at 6:00 P.M., Sunday, September 25, 2011 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, LA.

The Family would like to give a special thank you to Mrs. Rizzo’s Caregivers and dear friends, Debra Williams, Vivian Allan, Annie Blunt, Betty Cumming, Margaret Tarver and Virginia LeBlanc; to the staff of Louisiana Hospice, Suzi Thornhill, Peggy Clark, Monica Wynn, Shan Grigsby, Brenda Rhodes and Rev. Milton Pray and also to her oldest and dearest friend, Marguerite Cascio.
