Brad was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Julia Tejeda Bryant; sister, Elsie Bryant Newcomer; brother, CD Bryant; and parents, Joseph and Edna Bryant.

George Bryant is lovingly remembered by his son, George Bradford Bryant, Jr. “Buddy”; daughter, Lizette Bryant “Lisa”; sister, Doris Cloud; brothers, Wayne Bryant and Joe Bryant; and grandchild, Nathan Bryant.

Bradford was born in Monroe, Louisiana on July 15, 1938. Bradford joined the United States Air Force (USAF) at the age of 17. He served two tours in Vietnam before retiring in December 1976 with the rank of Master Sergeant. After retiring from the Air Force, Bradford worked for the United States Postal Service until his retirement in August 1999.

Bradford served as a Eucharist minister at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Monroe. He truly loved his church and enjoyed spending time with his dear friend and religious mentor, Father Sebastian.

Bradford truly enjoyed life and above all loved his family and country. He also leaves behind his precious cats, Jack and Brady, who brought him great comfort and joy. He loved spending time with his brother and best friend, Wayne Bryant. The “Bryant Boys” always knew how to have a great time especially on one of their many trips to the “boat”. Bradford was a strong supporter of the ASPCA and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Everyone who met him loved him. He always had an interesting story to tell and gave everyone he met a fair chance and a loving hand.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to his “other daughter” Ellen Schneider for always being there for him. Also, Ida Sullivan for her unconditional friendship.
