Gloria Madeline Simpson

Gloria Madeline Simpson, 88, of Flower Mound, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2013. Mrs. Simpson was born in Epps, Louisiana on August 27, 1924 to Deward and Mazie Motley. She as a former member of the College Place Baptist Church in Monroe, LA and her passion in life was her family. Mrs. Simpson was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Simpson; sisters, Dru and Jean Motley. She is survived by her sons; Don Simpson and his wife, Laura of Corinth, MS and Gene Simpson and his wife, Frances of Highland Village, TX; sister, Jan Whitlock of Monroe, LA; daughter-in-law, Margaret Simpson of Corinth, MS; nephew, Scott Whitlock; three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, as well as many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Friday, August 2, 2013 from 5pm to 7pm at the Mulhearn Funeral Home, 2308 Sterlington Rd., Monroe, LA 71203-3044, (318) 323-0505. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2013 at 11:00AM in the Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, 623 Highway 80 East, Monroe, Louisiana 71203, (318) 343-1511.
