Funeral Services for Harvie Eady, 83, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, March 30, 2014 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA with Rev. Karvin Adams and Rev. Randy Burdeaux officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery in West Monroe, LA.
Mr. Eady was born on June 18, 1930 and passed away on March 27, 2014. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He loved fishing and enjoyed visiting with family and friends. Mr. Eady is preceded in death by his parents, Alvie and Novie Eady; father and mother-in-law, Amos and Jessie Hollingsworth; and his brother, Robert Eady.
Survivors include his wife, Vera H. Eady; children, Mike Eady and wife, DeWanna, Lea Ann Freeland and husband, Greg and Nancy Heath; grandchildren, Kade Eady and wife, Shannon, Heather Greer, Collin Freeland, and Hannah Heath; great grandchildren, Braxton Greer and Kaylee Eady; his special grandchildren, Christian Primm, Cain, Joshua and Sasha Burdeaux and Chad Heath; siblings, Victoria Kennedy, Evelyn Martin and husband, Fulton, Donald Eady, Roy Eady and wife, Wanda and Clyde Eady; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Pallbearers will be Kade Eady, Victor Kennedy, Rich Jacobs, Doyle Saterfiel, James Vickery, and Shane Wright. Honorary Pallbearers will be Collin Freeland, Roy Parker, Bobby Jarrell and Truman Wright.
Memorials may be made to the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Emergency Fund or to the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.
