Funeral service for Mrs. Helen Woodard, 91, of Ruston, LA, will be held 11:00AM Saturday, July 26, 2014, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd. Monroe with Rev. Everett Geis and Rev. Don Fletcher officiating. Interment will follow in Start Cemetery.
Mrs. Woodard passed away on July 24, 2014, in Ruston, LA. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Monroe. Mrs. Woodard helped her husband, Rev. Willie Woodard serve churches in the Monroe and Shreveport areas for over 58 years.
Mrs. Woodard was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Willie Woodard, her parents and eight other siblings.
Survivors include her two children, Virginia Bennett and husband Ray and Ron Woodard and wife Melba; four grandchildren, Robert Trost, Jr., Teri Arnold, Shane Woodard and Sterling Woodard; a host of great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; two sisters, Betty Jo Thomas and Edwina Bolding.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
Visitation will be from 10:00AM until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
