Hubert Anthony Elee

Funeral service for Mr. Hubert Anthony Elee, 89, of Monroe, LA, will be held 10:00AM Saturday, January 18, 2020, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church with Rev. James Dominic Thekemury officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Monroe.
Mr. Elee was born in Campti, LA, on March 3, 1930 and passed away in West Monroe, LA, on January 14, 2020. He was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Elee loved to be outside either hunting, fishing, or working in his garden. He was the person everyone called to fix anything. He was also an Army and Coast Guard veteran serving in the Korean War. Mr. Elee was preceded in death by wife, Billie Jo Manning Elee; brother and sister-in-law, Joseph Delton and Suzie Elee and sister-in-law, Jean Elee.
Survivors include his daughters, Rose Elee Morgan of Monroe, LA, and Roxie Elee Barber and son-in-law, Chet Barber of DeQueen, AR; grandchildren, Josh Morgan and his fiancée, Joy Ballard of New Orleans, LA; Elee Barber Coleman and husband Scott of DeQueen, AR; and Torrey Barber and his fiancée Brittany Winser of West Monroe, LA; sister, Norma Lee Hance and husband Bill of Monroe, LA; brothers, Roy Elee of West Monroe, LA; Jackie Elee and wife Patsy of Monroe, LA; and Larry Elee and wife Cindy of Farmerville, LA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be nephews, Jackie Elee, Jr., Jason Elee, James Elee, Michael Elee, Kerry Elee, and Jeffrey Manning. Honorary pallbearer will be Roger Lee.
Visitation will be from 5:00PM until 7:00PM Friday and a Vigil Wake service at 6:00PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home in Monroe.
