Funeral services for James Clyde McDaniel, 93, of Calhoun, LA, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday April 29, 2012 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe with Rev. Neil Everett and Buddy Milstead officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Calhoun, LA, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe.
Mr. McDaniel was born on October 19, 1918 and passed away on April 26, 2012 in West Monroe. He was a decorated veteran of the United States Army serving as a combat medic with the 42nd portable surgical hospital in China, Burma and India. Following the end of WWII, Mr. McDaniel operated a general contracting business for many years. Mr. McDaniel was a member of Downsville Masonic Lodge #43.
He is preceded in death by his wife Rejohnia McDaniel; parents, Cleve McDaniel and Clara Belle Foster McDaniel; brothers, Charles and Harold McDaniel; and sister Elaine Cox.
Survivors include sister-in-laws, Margie McDaniel and Ann Clark; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until service time Sunday at Mulhearn Funeral Home.
