Funeral services for Mr. James H. Womack, 79, of Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, June 1, 2008 at the First Apostolic Church of Monroe, 104 Virginia Street Monroe, La. with Rev. R.  L. Endsley, Jr. and Dr. David C. Mayo officiating under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. 
Mr. Womack passed away Friday, May 30, 2008. He was a member of First Apostolic Church of Monroe. He was a retired Lab Technician for International Paper Company, Bastrop, LA for over thirty-three years. He was a graduate of Northeast LA Junior College.  
James was preceded in death by his parents, William Raymond and Olga Womack; best friend and brother-in-law, Billy Ray Ramsey.  
James was an avid outdoorsman. He loved working in his garden, and sharing the fruits of his harvest with all of his family and friends. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend; to know him was to love him. 
Survivors include his wife of fifty-seven years, Helen T. Womack; four daughters, Jinny Moody, Jody Lawson, Robin Griggs and husband Larry, and Amy Holzem; sons, Casey Womack and wife Denise, and Paul Womack; sisters, Virginia Hixson and husband Samuel and Jeanette Ramsey; eleven grandchildren, Angela, Jason, Jeremy, Casey, Jamie, Joshua, Jennifer, Ashley, Jesse, Caleb and Jonathan; four great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. 
Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Jason Moody, Jeremy White, Casey Wayne Womack, Joshua Lawson, Caleb Womack and Jesse Womack 
Visitation will be Saturday, May 31, 2008 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe. 
The family would like to give special thanks to The Specialty Hospital at St. Francis, especially Jeff Bryant and Brain Yeagle for their care and support.
