A Public Viewing for Mr. Janero Jamond McGhee, 38, of Monroe, LA, will he held at 9:00 – 11:00AM, followed by Private Funeral Services for the family at 1:00PM, Saturday, August 22, 2020, at Greater New Antioch Baptist Church located at 301 Sherrouse Avenue, Monroe, LA 71203, with Rev. John L. Russell II officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
Mr. McGhee was born January 28, 1982 and passed away on August 14, 2020. He was very charismatic, exceptionally smart and could command any room he entered. Always the life of the party, he was masterful on the grill and enjoyed cooking, tailgating, dancing, R&B music, sports and political commentary.
He is preceded in death by his Paternal Grandfather, Alonzo Benjamin, Sr., his Stepfather, Howard Wheaton, and his brother, Dominique Wheaton.
Survivors include his wife, Cesilvia McGhee; daughter, Adriana McGhee; mother, Angela Wheaton; father, Andre Benjamin (Renita); four siblings: Andre Benjamin, Jr. (Amanda), Jared Benjamin (Krisshune); Jovan Benjamin, and Quincy Wheaton; maternal grandmother, Daisy McGhee; paternal grandmother, Lucille Benjamin; Fathers-and Mothers-In-Law: Benny & Sylvia Simonton and Juan & Katheleen Pinto; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Sealy, Yonathan Mezegabe, Andre Benjamin, Jr, Jared Benjamin, Jovan Benjamin and Quincy Wheaton.
Memorials may be made payable to the Janero McGhee Memorial College Fund for the continuing education of his daughter, Adriana McGhee.
Additional visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Friday, August 21, 2020 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, 2308 Sterlington Road, Monroe, LA.
