Joanne Rae Gale McLean was born January 8, 1931 in Mansfield, Ohio. She died September 27, 2013 at the age of 82. She attended San Jose State University where she met her husband Raymond Oliver McLean. Joanne was passionate about gardening and cooking and was a talented florist. She worked for the U.S. Army Corp of Engineering and traveled the world on assignment, living in Germany, Israel, and Saudi Arabia.
Joanne is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Howard and Gladys (Wilson) Gale; and her son, Douglas Edward McLean.
She is survived by her daughters, Judge Sandra Lynn McLean of Chico, CA, and Sue Nicholson and husband Tom of Monroe, LA; son, Mitchell Scott McLean of Sacramento, CA; and her daughter-in-law, Melinda McLean of Lincoln, CA. She had 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great granddaughter.
