Jody James Chiasson

Memorial Service celebrating the life of Mr. Jody James Chiasson, 58, of Monroe, LA, will be 2:00 PM Saturday, June 8, 2019, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Swartz, with Fr. Job Edathinatt officiating.

Mr. Chiasson was born August 9, 1960 and passed away peacefully on May 30, 2019. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Jody retired from Edison Chouest Offshore. He loved gardening, being outdoors, hunting, and never met a stranger. He had a heart of gold and would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. Jody loved cooking and spending time with his family and friends, especially his granddaughters, who were the light in his eyes. Pawpaw loved the fact that he had the same birthday as Hannah.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrance and Wilavia Toups Chiasson; and a brother, Kim Chiasson.

Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Lillian St. Pierre Chiasson; daughter, Leslie Doucet; son, James Bordelon, Jr; three granddaughters, Hattie Doucet, Hailey Doucet, and Hannah Doucet; two brothers, Ashley Chiasson and Chris Chiasson and his wife Debra; one sister, Connie Cannatelia and her husband Drew; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends. He will be missed dearly by his four-legged companions, Cup Cake, Brownie, and Daisy.
