Joy Humble Mitcham was born April 1, 1944, and passed away June 21, 2018. She was
a lifelong member of First Baptist West Monroe. Mrs. Mitcham, co-owner of Century
Ready Mix, was a “mother mentor” and highly respected by her Century Ready Mix
Family. She loved spending time with her family and considered becoming “Nanny” her
greatest accomplishment. She loved to “Nannysize” all the grandchildren, and the word
“no” was not in her vocabulary. Her passion was restoring the family estate, Ingleside
Plantation (Circa 1833) which has been in the family 103 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Parker and Adah Humble, the founders of
Century Ready Mix in 1945.

Left to cherish a lifetime of memories are her husband of 53 years, Bob Mitcham; her son,
Mike Mitcham and wife D’Ann; two daughters, Michelle Gregory and husband Craig,
Melanie Markley and husband Richard; grandchildren, Christian & Claire Gregory, Ann-
Elise & Caroline Mitcham, Marian, Madyson, Meaghan & Morgan Markley; two
brothers, Jack Humble and wife Lucy, Bobby Humble & Sharon; and one sister, Joan
Williams and husband Jerrell; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many special
friends.

The family wants to thank special caregivers Alice, Brenda, Ella, Isha, Tiffany and
Dr. Erin Phillips.

Pallbearers will be Chip Humble, Chad Humble, Chris Humble, Tommy Barker, Taylor
Cagle and Keith Landrum.

Visitation will be held from 4 P.M. -7 P.M. on Monday, June 25th at the Mulhearn
