Funeral services for Joyce Vestal Netherland, 68, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 23, 2016, at House of Prayer International, Monroe, LA, with Bishop Ron Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Concord Cemetery, Marion, LA.Mrs. Netherland passed on Tuesday, July 19, 2016, at St. Francis Medical Center Downtown. She was a longtime member of House of Prayer International. She retired from Centurylink, and was also a licensed cosmetologist for many years. Her activities involved her church and family. Her favorite saying, that she quoted often, was “laughter doeth the heart good like medicine”.Mrs. Netherland was preceded in death by her parents, David LaVoyd and Joyce Margaret Vestal.Survivors include her husband of 30 years, William Netherland; two daughters, Holly Ford, and Katy Wilkinson; three grandchildren, Ashleigh Ford, Gabriel Ford, and Caleb Wilkinson; one brother, Benny Vestal; one sister, Cheryl Hayes; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.Pallbearers will be Heath Vestal Hayes, Chad Hayes, Steve Hayes, Jr., Stephen Vestal, Joseph Smith, and Claiborne Smith.Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Friday, July 22, 2016 at House of Prayer International, Monroe, LA.Online Registry/Condolences: www.mulhearnfuneralhome.comMulhearn Funeral HomeSterlington RoadMonroe, LA
