Judith Elizabeth Hollis Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Road, Monroe, LA     Services for Judy Hollis, 64, will begin with visitation at Mulhearn Funeral Home (2308 Sterlington Road Monroe, LA) from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, July 2, 2007.  A memorial service will be held at Judy’s church, First Presbyterian Church (1201 Stubbs Monroe, LA), on Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at 10:00 a.m.  Judy was born on July 21, 1942 in Great Bend, Kansas.  Prior to moving to Monroe, LA 15 years ago, Ms. Hollis and her family resided in the New Orleans area for many years.  She passed away Saturday, June 30, 2007 from complications following bypass surgery at St. Francis Hospital.    Judy served as an elder at First Presbyterian Church, Monroe, LA having also served in the same role at Parkway Presbyterian in New Orleans, prior to moving to Monroe.  She was also an active member of the Ouachita Parish Republican Women’s Club.  A 1964 graduate of Louisiana Tech, Judy was a member of the Phi Mu Sorority.   Ms. Hollis was preceded in death by parents Elizabeth Munger Beasley and Arthur Paul Beasley and an infant son, Charles Paul Hollis.   Judy is survived by three sons, their spouses/partners and three wonderful grandchildren; Jesse K. “Trey” Hollis and Jill Daniels Hollis of Fayetteville, AR, and their two children, Mason and Abby;  Michael Christopher Hollis and Marty Brantley of New Orleans, LA; Paul Bryan Hollis and Ashley Tastet Hollis, also of New Orleans, LA and their daughter, Bryanne.   Additionally, she is survived by her sister, Nancy Beasley Carpenter, of Monroe, LA, and her four children and spouses; Scott Allen Carpenter of Texarkana, TX and fiancé, Robin McGrew of Monroe, LA; Mathew James Carpenter of Vacaville, CA; Amanda Carpenter Boyd and husband, Marty Boyd of Boulder, CO; Sarah Anne Carpenter and fiancé Craig Gillen, of Dallas, TX.
