Judy Ann Morrell
Judy Ann Morrell, born in Monroe, LA, and a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at the age of 65. Judy most recently worked for the Road Home and Restore Louisiana assistance programs. She began her career in Monroe with People’s Homestead Bank, before moving to Baton Rouge to work for Capitol One Bank as an Accounting Manager in the Mortgage Servicing Department. Judy loved children and was an avid donor to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. She enjoyed reading, especially cookbooks, but she did not enjoy cooking. Judy also enjoyed all things Disney, LSU and Saints football, and buying gifts for everyone, especially children. Judy is survived by her sister, Marilyn Morrell, numerous cousins and other family members. She was preceded in death by parents Peter Morrell and Virginia Scalia Morrell, and sister Rosalie Morrell. Visitation will be Monday, October 4, 2021, at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Monroe, from 11am until noon, with memorial services following at noon. Graveside services will be held immediately afterward at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. The family would like to thank the staffs at both; East Jefferson General Hospital in Metairie, LA, and Chateau D’Ville Rehab and Retirement Home in Donaldsonville, LA, for their compassion and care.
