Lenora Joyce Osborne

Funeral services for Lenora Joyce Osborne, 82, of Monroe, will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, December 27, 2013 at Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Bruce Rux officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, under direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe. 
Mrs. Osborne died Monday, December 23, 2013, at StoneyBrook in Monroe. She was an ordained deacon in the Presbyterian Church and loved to cook, read, crochet and work crossword puzzles. 
Mrs. Osborne was preceded in death by her parents, Lenard and Dora Williams; and sister, Jackie Laforet. 
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Carlos Osborne; children, Carol Rux and husband Rev. Bruce Rux, Tom Osborne, Lynne Shiltz and husband Paul; three grandchildren, Stephanie Hodgson and husband Steven, Joshua Rux and wife Hanna, Chris Rux; and three great grandchildren, Ian and Vivienne Hodgson, and Charlie Rux. 
Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until service time Friday in the Mausoleum. 
In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to StoneyBrook Alzheimer Assisted Living or to the Alzheimer Association. 
The family would like to express a special thanks to the staff at StoneyBrook for the care of Mrs. Osborne.
