Mamie B. Thomas, age 86, a native of Monroe, LA, passed away Monday, January 31, 2011, in Pass Christian, MS at Dixie White House Nursing Home.
Mrs. Thomas was a member of Memorial Baptist Church in Monroe, LA. She retired from Shady Grove Elementary School as a cafeteria manager.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Louis H. Thomas; brother, Odell Brent; sister Oben “Baby” Wells; and granddaughter, Amanda K. Miller
Mrs. Thomas is survived by daughters, Virginia Ashcraft (Tom) of Bullard, TX, and Johnnie Vice (Tommy) of Pass Christian MS; son, Caswell Thomas (Betty) of Flint, TX; sister, Louise Mock of Monroe, LA; grandchildren, Michael Miller of Edmond, OK, Beth Vice of Pass Christian, MS, Brad Vice of Terry, MS, and Chris Thomas of Falls Church, VA; and seven great grandchildren.
The family would like to extend a special Thank You to the nurses and staff at Dixie White House Nursing Home, in Pass Christian, MS for their outstanding care for the past 3 ½ years.
A viewing for family and friends will be from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM Wednesday, February 2, 2011, at Mulhearn Funeral Home at 2308 Sterlington Road, with funeral services at Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, Thursday, February 3, 2011 at ll:00 A.M.
