Services for Mrs. Marie P. Cheek, 98, of Rayville, LA will be 10 AM Friday, May 24, 2013 at Mulhearn Chapel-Rayville, LA with Rev. John Albright and Rev. Jimmy Goodman officiating, interment to follow in Lynn Cemetery-Archibald, LA under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Rayville, LA
“Mama” Cheek loved to cook for her family, read the Bible, and spend time working in her yard. She seldom missed an opportunity to witness for the Lord.
Mrs. Cheek was preceded in death by her husband Oscar Cheek, a son Johnny Cheek and his wife Carolyn, a daughter Nell Mangham and her husband Walter and a grandson Randy Cheek.
 She is survived by a sister, Ruby Jean Scarbrough; son, Bobby Cheek and his wife Nita; grandson, Keith Cheek and his wife Lisa; granddaughter, Dawn Cheek; daughter-in-law, Molly Sullivan; grandson, Kevin Cheek; granddaughter, Debbie Albright and her husband John; granddaughter, Sheri Schuyler and her husband Dwight; special nieces Dianne Awtry and Barbara Jo Reeves; Longtime family friend Hazel Garlington and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Keith Cheek, Kevin Cheek, Paul Ford, Rob Landry, Blair Reeves and Charles Trichel.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 23, 2013 from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.
