Funeral services for Marjorie Laningham Stump, 86, of West Monroe will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday March 19, 2014 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe with Dr. Jerry Edmondson and Dr. Woods Watson officiating. Interment will be in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe, LA.


Mrs. Stump was born on November 3, 1927 in Sterlington, LA, and passed away on March 17, 2014 in West Monroe, LA. She was a member of the First Baptist Church West Monroe, LA. Mrs. Stump was a member of the North Louisiana Quilt Guild, Eastern Star, and Lady’s Oriental Shrine. She is preceded in death by her husband Harry Stump.


Survivors include her son, Andy Stump and wife Lou; step-daughters, Carolyn Kile and husband John and Shelia Temple; 3 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren and numerous cousins.


Pallbearers will be ushers from the First Baptist Church West Monroe.

Honorary pallbearers are Dan Walker and Arnold Walker.


Visitation will be from 12:00 P.M. until service time Wednesday at Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA.


Memorials may be made to the Shrine Hospital for Cripple Children or Shrine Hospital for Burn Children.
