Services for Mrs. Marjorie “Margie” McKay, 83 of Baton Rouge, formally of Alto will be 2:00PM Friday, January 24, 2014 at the Alto Baptist Church with Rev. David Shirley officiating. Burial will follow in the Lynn Cemetery in Archibald, LA under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home-Rayville.
Mrs. Margie was born on September 8, 1930 in Dunn, LA and passed from this life on January 21, 2014 in Baton Rouge, LA.
Preceded in death by her husband-Douglas Floyd McKay; 2 sons-Douglas Floyd McKay, Jr and Donald Glen McKay; her parents-William and Alma Rester; 3 sisters-Eloise Rester, Doris Files, and Marie Demler; 3 brothers-Aucoin Rester, Billy Rester, and Solon Rester.
Survivors include 2 sons-Thomas Allen McKay of Atlanta, GA and Stephen Randle McKay of Baton Rouge, LA; 1 sister-Evelyn Williams of Baker, LA; 1 grandchild-Mary Catherine McKay of Baton Rouge, LA; and a host of other family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Stansbury, Ken McKay, Jr, Ken McKay, Sr, Scott McKay, Eddie Pierce, and Corey Pierce.
Visitation will be 5:00-7:00PM Thursday, January 23, 2014 at the Mulhearn Funeral Home.
