Martin Charles "Papaw" Carroll Jr.
December 24, 1936 — August 25, 2011
Martin Charles Carroll, Jr., 74, of West Monroe, LA, will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, August 29, 2011, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe with Rev. Wilton “Tony” Anthony officiating. Interment will follow at Kilpatrick Serenity Gardens.
Mr. Carroll passed away on August 25, 2011 in West Monroe. He served in the Air Force and worked as a fabricator and welder. Mr. Carroll loved to fish and hunt. He was a member of the Spring Hunting Club for years and also loved spending his time at Scott Carroll Race Cars. Mr. Carroll was preceded in death by his parents, Martin Charles “Mutt” and Mattie Mae Carroll and his wife of 53 years, Beverly Lambert Carroll.
Survivors include his children, Chuck Carroll and wife Wanda, Richard Carroll, Scott Carroll, John Carroll, and Susan Guise and husband Robert; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Chuck Carroll, Richard Carroll, Scott Carroll, John Carroll, Robert Guise, Will “Lil Man” Carroll, Lee Carroll, Otis Hodge, and Mike Lingo. Honorary Pallbearers will be Eddie Auttonberry, Jerry Guilly, and Kenneth Childress.
Visitation will be from 5:00PM until 8:00PM Sunday at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.
Memorials may be made to the Siloam Baptist Church in Many, LA
