Funeral Services for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Coan Wilson, 82, of West Monroe, LA will be 2:00 PM Monday, December 26, 2011 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe with Rev. Mark Fenn officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Garden Cemetery, Calhoun.
Mrs. Wilson was born September 9, 1929 and died on December 23, 2011. She was a member of the AGAPE Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church, West Monroe. Mrs. Wilson enjoyed cooking, music and traveling. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Turner Wilson, Sr.; parents, Stephen and Mae Coan; and two brothers, Jerry Coan and John Coan.
Survivors include: son, John Turner Wilson, Jr. and wife Kathy; daughter, Stephanie Jester and husband Greg; four grandchildren, Stephen Jester and wife Samantha, Matthew Wilson, Madeline Wilson, and Mae Wilson; four nieces, Debbie Coan, Melanie Coan, Grace Kalish, and Barbara Wilson; three nephews, Paul Wilson, Gary Wilson, and Larry Wilson, and brother-in-law, Dale Wilson and wife Jan.
Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Monday, December 26, 2011 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.
Memorials may be made to Kids Hope at First Baptist Church, West Monroe.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Rosemont Assisted Living.
