Funeral services for Mary Inez Peterson, 98, of Spencer, LA, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, December 27, 2020, at Paron Baptist Church in Sterlington, LA. with Bro. Kurt Auger and Bro. Scotty McDowell officiating under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Rd., Monroe.
Ms. Peterson was born on April 30, 1922, in Union Parish and passed away on December 22, 2020, in Bastrop. She was a member of Paron Baptist Church in Sterlington, LA. Ms. Peterson loved to spend time with her family, cook and had a great talent for baking cakes. She loved working for Sol Snyder’s where she was a seamstress. In Ms. Petersons spare time, she loved painting. She had a heart to serve others. Ms. Peterson loved her church family and the pastors at Paron Baptist Church. She was often referred to as “Pretty MaMa” or Purd”. Mrs. Peterson was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin William Peterson, Sr.; son, Edwin William Peterson, Jr.; daughters, Charlotte Wilkes and Mary Catherine “Sis” Martin; and four sisters and two brothers.
Survivors include her grandchildren Scarlett Jenny, Angie Martin, and Seth Wilkes. Many Nieces and Nephews.
Pallbearers will be Gary Tubbs, Thomas Forbes, Richard Moore, Joe Wheeler, John Sharp, and Ronnie Tisdale.
Visitation will be 12:30 P.M. until time of service Sunday at Paron Baptist Church.
