Services for Mrs. Mary L. Van, 88, of Monroe, LA will be 10 AM Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at New Light Baptist Church, Monroe, LA with Rev. Lindle Stewart officiating, internment to follow in New Light Baptist Church Cemetery, Monroe, LA, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road.
She is survived by five children, daughter, Judy Rabun and her husband Rusty, daughter, Jackie Yerger and her husband John, son, Jeff Van and his wife Peggy, son, John Van and his wife Lisa and daughter, Jan Bower and her husband Charlie; grandchildren Jennifer Gonzales and her husband Billy, Jaesen Yerger and his wife Stacy, Justen Yerger and his wife Stacie, Jay Van, Jordan Van, Danielle Van, Jessica Van, Chip Bower and his wife Jodi, Roxanne Bower and Gabriel Bower; great grandchildren, Tristan, Jack Riley, Savannah, Brooks and Bella Yerger, Jeremiah Gonzales and Samuel Priest.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers with Alton Sutter and Lt. Col. U. S. Navy Jaesen Van Yerger serving as honorary pallbearers.
We were so blessed to have her for our mother. Mama showed us how to walk in the Lord by her Christian example. We are all better people for having her in our lives, We love you Mama and will miss you.
The family requests Memorials be made to be made to New Light Baptist Church Building fund, 2477 Prairie Road, Monroe, LA 71202.
Visitation will be from 5-7 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd.
