Mattie Lorena Ford

Mrs. Mattie Lorena Ford, née Stevens, 91, formerly of Gilbert, LA, died on January 7, 2022, in Ft. Worth, TX. She was born on October 4, 1930, in Union, Mississippi. She loved her family, loved to cook and especially loved to travel with her late husband, Wallace Ford, Jr. They loved loading their convertible or Dodge pickup with grandkids and made lasting memories for them.

She is survived by her daughter, Bessie Earline Reese Mumaw and husband Bob of Ft. Worth, TX; daughters-in-law, Deloris Reese of Monroe and Eva Reese of Calhoun; stepson, Wayne Ford and wife, Sybil of Monroe; stepdaughter, Trudy Ford Armfield and husband Robin of Magnolia, Mississippi; eighteen grandchildren and numerous great and great great grandchildren.

Mrs. Ford was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Wallace Ford, Jr.; sons, David Reese and Howard E. Reese “Buddy”; stepson, Ronnie Ford; grandson, Jeremy Reese; and a great granddaughter, Savannah Reese.
