Maudie Miller Gibson

Funeral Services Celebrating the Life of Mrs. Maudie Miller Gibson, 80, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, May 14, 2018, at White’s Ferry Road Church of Christ with Alan Robertson and Tommy Lindsay officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Calhoun, LA under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.

Mrs. Gibson was born on April 10, 1938, and passed away at her residence on May 11, 2018. She was a retired Meat Wrapper. Mrs. Gibson was a member of White’s Ferry Road Church of Christ and also the Golden 60’s at the church. She loved being outdoors fishing or tending to her flowers. Maudie is preceded in death by her husband, James “Hoot” Gibson; her children, Harvey Ray Gibson and Barbara Kay Wilson; her grandson, Logan Wilson; her parents and many siblings.

Survivors include her daughter, Lisa Robertson and husband Alan; seven grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren and numerous great-great grandchildren; brothers, James Miller, Glenn Miller and Kenneth Miller; sisters, Patricia Castleberry and Virginia Hemphill; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Alif Gibson, A.J. Gibson, Harvey Gibson, Jordan Gibson, Shane Hofler, Spencer Hofler, and Jimmy Gibson.

Mammaw Hoot was grateful to Alif and Lynn for staying with her and taking good care of her. The family was blessed by Louisiana Hospice for their care and also to Always Best Care for sending two angels, Trina and Luporche to sit with her and take care of her.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. until Service Time on Monday at White’s Ferry Road Church of Christ.

Memorials may be made to the Golden 60’s Group at White’s Ferry Road Church of Christ.
