Michael Allen Nappier

Funeral Services Celebrating the Life of Mr. Michael Allen Nappier, 66, of Spencer, LA will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 1, 2020 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA with Pastors Matthew Nappier and Joey Pepmiller officiating. Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. in the Old Castor Cemetery in Castor, LA under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.

Mr. Nappier was born on April 28, 1953 in Bernice, LA and passed away on January 24, 2020 in Shreveport, LA after a brief illness. He retired from Union Pacific Railroad with 30 years of service. He also worked for TP Outdoors in West Monroe, LA. Mike enjoyed attending services with his daughter at Liberty Grove Church of God. He was a loyal member and treasurer of the local Sons of AMVETS and the Elks Lodge. He also was a longtime member of Zoar Hunting Club. Mike was the epitome of family and friend, caring deeply for anyone in his life, always remaining loyal and faithful. He was kind to all who met him. Mike was a devoted son, dutifully and lovingly caring for his mother until he fell ill. He was extremely proud of his children and grandchildren and let everyone know. Mike was an avid hunter, collector of firearms, and competed in Cowboy Action Shooting. He always looked forward to providing customer service to many in our community in the firearms section of TP Outdoors. Mike is preceded in death by his grandparents, Killis and Alma Nappier and Thomas and Mary Autrey; by his father, James L. Nappier.

Survivors include his mother, Shirley Nappier; children, Matthew Chase Nappier and wife, Malissa, and Emily Tolbird and husband, Chris, Windy Culp and husband, Brandon, and Ashley Graham; grandchildren, Moriyah, Mayah, and Mikaylah Nappier, Savannah Tolbird Robinson and husband, Kyle, Hannah Beth and Andi Kate Culp, Madisyn Blakeney, and Malachi Nappier; brother, James H. Nappier and wife, Leslie; sister, Carolyn Hunt and husband, Harold; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Michael Lynn Nappier, Greg Nappier, Chris Nappier , Trey Hunt, Steve McKeithen, and Lane Beaird. Honorary Pallbearers will be Larry Smith and Ross Cagle.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until Service Time on Saturday.
