Michael Earl Readhimer

Funeral services for Michael Earl Readhimer, of Monroe, LA, formerly of Linville, LA, were held August 22, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe with Rev. Don Reeves officiating. A military graveside service was held at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Linville, LA.

Mr. Readhimer was a retired auto parts salesman and STIHL products repair technician.

Before entering the Marine Corp in 1968, Mike enjoyed being a drummer for the local popular band - The 13th Hour. He was also an avid skater. After returning from serving his country, he enjoyed hunting and fishing in Union Parish.

He is preceded in death by his father, Ernest Earl Readhimer; mother, Topie Lee DeFee Readhimer; and maternal grandparents, Pleasant and Minnie DeFee.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Sandy Roemers Readimer; daughter, Amy Readhimer Herrington and husband Fredrick; and two grandchildren who he adored, Callee and Hunter Herrington.

Pallbearers were Jeremy Harrell, Austin Henderson, Case Henderson, Ronnie Henderson, Blake Herrington, and Scott Phipps.
