Funeral Services for Mrs. Evelyn Tarver Lee, 81, of West Monroe, LA will be at 10:00 am Monday, December 2, 2013, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Rev. Warren Eckhart officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe, LA.
Mrs. Lee passed away on November 29, 2013 in West Monroe, LA. She was born on April 7, 1932 in Mangham, LA. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved gardening, sewing, cooking, and most of all spending time with her family and especially having them all together for the holidays.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Hebert Hoover Lee; her parents, Edward and Annie Tarver; five brothers, Claude E. Tarver, Charles Tarver, Winfred Tarver, Travis Tarver, Virgil (Sonny Boy) Tarver, James E. Tarver; and one sister, Gladys Tarver Parker.
Left to cherish her memories are her two sisters, Dorothy Cox and Margie Southern; six children, Julia Lee Fury and husband Charles, Mike Lee and wife Tina, Sandy Lee Evans and husband Donny, Charles Lee, Theresa Lee Lively and husband Mike, Terri Lee; eleven grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, Sunday, December 1, 2013, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
Pallbearers will be Mike Lee Jr., Dustin Clement, Scott Bullock, Dustin Bennett, Chad Everett, and Devin Antley.
The family also wishes to thank Dr. Charles Morgan and staff, Ridgecrest Nursing Home, and Gamble Hospice Care for the care and support that was provided over the last few months.
Memorials can be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society, American Cancer Society, or the charity of your choice.
